  • Xiaomi 17 Series Set for February 28 Launch: What Updates to Expect?

On February 28, Xiaomi plans to introduce its 17 series smartphones to the European market.

In China, the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Pro Max were unveiled as early as September of the previous year. Following this, in December, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra was released, along with a special Leica Edition. The global launch will take place in Barcelona, just ahead of the Mobile World Congress 2026, where Xiaomi intends to showcase its three flagship models featuring Leica cameras.

The base model, Xiaomi 17, will be offered starting at €999 for the version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The high-end Xiaomi 17 Ultra, introduced in December, will be priced from €1499 for a configuration with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. In terms of colors, the standard Xiaomi 17 will be available in Black, Venture Green, Ice Blue, and Alpine Pink, while the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will come in Black, White, and Starlit Green.

Initial Insights on Xiaomi 18: An iPhone-like Design and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6

ITC previously reported that Xiaomi does not plan to release the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max models in Europe. These models are equipped with an additional rear display for practical functions, setting them apart from competitors.

Xiaomi invites everyone to attend the launch event through a dedicated page, where prizes will be awarded, and exclusive bonuses will be available for those purchasing the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, or Leica Leitzphone by Xiaomi. Besides the base model Xiaomi 17, the company is likely to introduce the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and a special Leica Edition, which will be marketed in the EU under the brand “Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi.”

A countdown timer and hints at exclusive bonuses for early buyers have been posted on Xiaomi’s special page. Several exclusive VIP bonuses have been announced; however, the conditions remain unclear as the link currently redirects users back to the event page. Xiaomi promises a one-year warranty, one free screen replacement within six months, and waived repair fees beyond the warranty period. Considering the high prices of the company’s flagship devices, the bonuses seem relatively modest.
